What is this trend, Cheek Blush?

A cheek blush tattoo, also known as blush micro-pigmentation or blush tattooing, is a cosmetic procedure that uses semi-permanent pigments to give your cheeks a natural, rosy glow. This technique involves applying the pigments beneath the skin's surface to mimic the flushed cheeks look. This eliminates the need for daily blush application, making it a convenient option for those who want a long-lasting, natural-looking blush even when outdoors and sweating.

Having cheek blush tattoos has numerous benefits. Here are some of them

The process of getting a cheek blush tattoo involves a few essential steps.

Preparing for Cheek Blush

First, it is crucial to consult with a trained and experienced technician to discuss your goals, preferences, and any concerns you may have. During this consultation, the technician will also work with you to choose the perfect blush shade and design that suits your desired look, taking into account your facial features and skin tone. A numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Using a small, specialised tattooing machine and fine needles, the technician will carefully deposit the pigment beneath the skin's surface. This process is typically painless, thanks to the numbing cream. After the procedure, your cheeks may appear slightly swollen or red for a few days. It's essential to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your technician to ensure proper healing. You may also need to return for touch-up sessions to maintain the colour and shape.

Before getting cheek blush tattoos:

Research and choose a licensed and experienced technician. Communicate your expectations clearly during the consultation, and discuss any allergies or sensitivities that you have. Remember that cheek blush tattoos are semi-permanent, so touch-up sessions may be necessary to maintain the desired look.

  1. No direct liquid exposure for 24 hours

  2. After 24 hours, cleanse the treated area with mild anti-bacterial and lukewarm water. Avoid using harsh cleansers or scrubbing the area.

  3. After cleaning, pat the area dry with a clean, soft paper towel or tissue. Avoid rubbing the cheeks, as this can irritate the skin.

  4. Protect your cheeks from direct sunlight during the initial healing phase. UV rays can fade the pigment and irritate it. If you need to go out in the sun, wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and a wide-brimmed hat.
